by OlenaJ, May 02, 2007 12:00AM
I had D/C done on the 22 of March. I did not bleed at all. Now I started spotting on the 13 of April and I thought that was my period, but I still spotting, not a lot but ...
I went to the doctor yesterday and they did blood work and I have an US on Monday. I just want to know if any of you had something like that, the pregnancy test (home one) still showing (+).Please help me with advice...

Your cycle can be quite messed up after a d/c.  I'm fortunate in that my af arrived on time the next month.  I think how far along you were can make a difference also, plus, things won't be back to normal until after your hcg level goes down to 5 or less.  If you're still getting positive hpt's then it's too high to ovulate.  It sounds like you're doing the right thing by seeing the doctor.

I had d&c beginning of Jan. I bled for a couple of days then spotted off & on. Once spotting stopped, it would start again if I over did it. Lifting too much, etc. I also had very regular cycles b4 mc and have not had one normal one since. I had midcycle bleeding, like a mini-af one cycle, too. It can take a while to regulate. Poor BrownEyedGurl just wrapped up a 52 day cycle. She, too has been "off" since mc.

I'm 44 y/o and I had a D&C 01/11/08.....I think I've had 2 days of no bleeding since that time.  I thought the D&C was supposed to help the situation.  I'm again passing large clots the size of a peach.  My doctor has put me on Aygestin, a week later doubled the dose, no improvement in the bleeding.  I am taking an rx iron supplement.  9 days ago he took me off of the Aygestin and put me on Ortho Tri Cyclen.....my tubes were tied in 1996, and due to abstinence, I know miscarriage can't be the cause.  My doctor assures me this is a menopause stage....but I'm still confused....how can I be passing all of this tissue less than a month after a D&C?  I've always trusted my doctor but now I'm beginning to wonder if I should get a second opinion.
