Hi I,ve had a colonoscopy and endoscopy the section show superficial gastric antral mucosa with a mild cyto-architectual regenerative changes and mild atrophy there was no evidence of helicobacter pylori-like organisms, dysplasia or malignacy
the conlusion found Gastric biopsy, mild chronic atrophic antral gastritis, with focal, incomplete intestinal metaplasia, and no helicobacter pylori-like organisms

the doctor prescribe ranitidine tablets 150mg take one tablet daily

I didnt get much imformation i was told it is imflamation in the stomach, exactly what that is all mean, do i need more trearments, can it become cancerious my family has a history of cancer.
Is there certain food that i could not have or do i need to go on a special diet
