Sorry, ignore the comment about other anti-depressants, forgot Zispin is a NaSSA, I'm assuming your doctor has tried you on SSRIs, tri-cyclics etc?

Hi,

Provided you haven't taken any MAOIs within the last month or so and don't have any underlying medical problems they're Zispin is quite safe.

I would however give caution in terms of suicidal tendencies, as with any anti-depressant suicidal volition can increase. It's important that if this becomes a problem, you should not stop taking the medication but talk to your doctor ASAP.

If you don't mind my asking, have you tried other, more mainstream anti-depressants - prozac, zoloft et al?

Cheers

The only other I have tried is citalopram.  it made me very shaky and a bit manic - I wasn't in control at all and felt I wasn't safe to drive safely whilst taking it.

Thank you for the comments - I wasn't brave enough to take it last night........maybe I will tonight.  I hate this feeling.

I have been taking zispin for 5 weeks now,  i have the white tab that desovles on your tongue and tastes of orange! i find it great as it is hard for me to swallow pills,
i have had no side effects, my weight is the same, i also exersise thou like walk the dog, or horse ride, gives me somthing to plan. so i know i will have my own thing todo so i dont sit around being grumpy,or horrible/ all day. i used to be very depressed mostly at night. zispin makes me sleep well but u must fight the drouseness, and get up or u end up sleeping all day like i did for the 1st week!!
if you have deppression and cry alot like i did and feel like u look horrible and dont wanna go out see ur doctor to get the best anti depression for you..
its like watching paint dry
but you have to start to finsh, and i feel 100 x better and it has stopped me walking away from things and to face things insted of worrying.
keep you update on how long i have to go as have doctors in two days!
