Hermorrhage in placenta

by LuzinNH, Jun 17, 2007 12:00AM
I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks due to pain in my right ovary. I found out I have a cyst and also a small hemorrhage in the placenta. They just told me that this was not a big deal. The baby's heart beat was fine. Am I supposed to be on bed rest or should I be worried about miscarriage? I had two losses last year (one which was diagnosed with Trisomy 18), and I do have a perfet 3 year old daughter. The doctor's attitude I feel is that they don't care if you have a miscarriage or not.

I had a small hemorage with my daughter, it seems to be somewhat normal occurance rest as much as you can it usually clears up on its own. Hang in there and do exactly as they say if that means bedrest then do it....

I started bleeding at 13 weeks, and discovered I have a hemmorage also, my dr. put me on bedrest for a week, then back to light activity.  I am at 24 weeks now and still have the bleed.  It is very small, and the dr. told me I could resume normal activity, just to not over do it.  My hemmorage has stayed the same size since we found it.  From what my dr. said, it is fairly common, and usually it will heal on its own.  Good luck and just try to take it easy.
