BRIGHT RED FACE RASH

Yesterday my daughter who is 8 months woke up with a light pink mark across both cheeks. This morning she woke up and the marks were dark red. The mark is about an 1/2 inch wide on the left check and the exact size of a dime on the right check. It does not appear to be painful. She is acting her normal self and has no fever. I took her to the doctors and they are unsure of what it could be. Please help us find out what this could be.
