The way to the normality

by anuszka254, Jul 15, 2007 07:57AM
My namie is Anna Kasprowicz and I live in Biala Podlaska(Poland). At present I am 27 years old, since childhood I have M.P.D  (Tetraparesis accompanied by moderate spasticity ). I wolud be vey greatful for every help from rehabilitation and orthopedic polish and foreign doctors, especially for rehabilitation possibility either in clinic or in medicine institute
At eight, after many years of rehabilitation and a few hips and Achilles hill surgeries, I finally made my first steps in my live. Unfortunately, I had fallen after for eyars, which caused dispalsion. I have been made to close repositioning of right hips in effect. I was made starting all over again. But this time evewrything was much worst. Medical procedures were giving no effects, contracture knee and hips ensued, which caused coalescing  femoral bone with acetabulum
Despite my disability i graduated secondary school in 2000 just in secondary school I started fascinating biology. Since then, I would like to stude medicine, and be a paediatrition. I have been learnig much to be ready for pass to medicine as soon as it possible. The dream of white gown and music are my power and give me strentgh to fight with my disability
I do not want live in close. I would like to conduct a normal live. I can hold two hours in sitting position, spending rest of ma day in bed or hospital room. And I have seen them a lot. I was treated in Biała Podlaska, Lublin, Warsaw, Cracov. I still believe I could find a person both with required skills and good heart. You need to believe oneself and the others!
To make it easier  diagnosis my disease I shall give below full range of moves:

Right hand – a 15 degree contracture in elbow joint
Left hand – a 25 degree contracture in elbow joint
Right wrist – full flexion and extension
Left wrist – passive flexion and extension
Fingers – full flexion and extension, a 0 degree contracture
Lumbosacral scoliosis
Rotated pelvis
Right leg – full flexion (180 degree), knee joint: a 15 degree abduction contracture, a 0 degree abduction and adduction
Left leg – a 90 degree flexion in knee joint, a 0 degree abduction and adduction
Legs position themselves in exterior rotation after past closed repositioning
Toes straight without contractures
Erect position achievable only with the help of a stand up lifting machine
Head stable
Right leg shorter by 12 cm as a consequence of hip resection

I am agreed with one of the best doctors in Poland on an operation of right hip
