Testical discomfort.

Well i would say...6 months maybe 7 i have had this problemw ith testicular pain. I went to the docter afte rthe first month, it was a pain kinda going from my testical up into my hip area and my right testical seems to kinda move, like it would hurt and it would be pointing out such as like sticking out the front insterad of going up and down moving it into acomfortable spot help. I went to the docter and he said i had an ifection on a glan on the back of my testical, and gave me "Doxycycline to take twice a day. My testica stoped "Twisting" as i call it, and all poain  went away for about a month or two, theni went back and got more, this is my 3rd time now taking this medication and it just now started to "twist" again. The docter didn't say i had hernia or anything so i am abit confused...I've gone to the doctore 3 times and hes not found anything other than the infection, he says. any feed back?

Hey! I'm not a doctor or anything. This is not even my thing.I looked up the medication Doxycyline to see what it is used for. It is used for bacterial infections. This is a little scarey and I hope it doesn't embarass you. But, it is used to treat Gonorrhea and Chlamydia. I'm not sure if you have this and I probably don't even know the half of your symptoms. These were the list of symptoms:

1. Pain or burnig when you urinate.

2. Groin pain and swelling

3. Irritation around openning of penis

4. Milky, sticky mucus discharge from penis

5. Swollen testes

6. Testicular pain

*symptoms may come and go. They can test for this problem by:

1. Samples of cells from the urethra using a cotton swab

2. A urine sample obtained after not urinating for atleast 4 hours.

This is a curable disease. It makes since if the meds. are fixing it and as soon as it gets out of your system it comes back. Maybe the twisting you are discribing is actually swelling? I think you may want to call your m.d. and ask him if he has a diagnosis for what he is treating you for. If he says he couldn't find a diagnosis then I would ask him to test you.

I also have concerns about testicular cancer b/c I know it has become one of the leading causes for men death recently. If your m.d. acts like he isn't worried I might go to another m.d. to get a second opinion. They can also do ultra sounds that can see even the tiniest problems. Good-luck please let me know what it is I am very curious just for personal info.!! Don't be embarassed just get tested.

I'm not embarissed, i did get tested first time he said it was an ecoli infection...but my parents are getting angry at taking me back all the time. They won't do it much more...i am going to wait untill these meds are finsh and if it keeps going i'll mention this to him...

Huh? ecoli? Like the bacterial infection you get with like a food poisioning? That sounds weird. Did you have the other symptoms like diarrhea or vomiting? I'm confused as to why it keeps coming back too! Well, read ya later!

Ahh, not so much of diarehia(sp?) at the time....like i touched something like chicken then went to the bathroom or something like that. I duunno if the pills don't work this time, i am going to get an ultra sound the docter said, i am just questionative to what it may be...

I think the ultra sound is a great idea. You will be able to see everything on that. If there is anything to worry about they will be able to see it on there. I had some problems and had to have an ultasound for some breast issues. I was very worried. I read a lot about ultasounds, and research says they can detect even the tiniest of problems even before a x-ray can see it. But, the doctor released me and said they couldn't see anything! Which always makes you feel a lot better! Let me know!

It'll be awhile i still have about 15 or so days left to take these pills but i will. I'm not to encredably worried, i was just wondering mainly if anyone else had these kinds of problems and what kinda issuse it was with them.

Did u ever hav a groin strain by any chance just before u started getting this pain?

It sounds similiar to what im feeling just now.  Ive had similiar symptoms for years now.  Ever since i was about 17, ive had like what id say was swollen testes, and a real pain in the right one especially.  Its worse if im doing sport, like tennis or football, or walking long distances.  The only time the testes are what i would say is 'normal', is when im having a hot bath or shower.

Sometimes, it stings when i pee too.

I went to the doctors also about the problem, and i was refered to a specialist.  I got an ultrasound done and it was fine.  So i went bak to the doctors, and he basically told me it was all in my head! Great help eh?!

Anyway, let me know what u think of that.

Scale of 1-10? At its worse, i would say an annoying 5. Not really "Oh **** that hurts!" But like "This is really starting to annoy me..." And steve_20....everything that i have...right testical...when i run and stuff...sometimes burning when i pee...Thats just like me...

If you're epididymis swells after ejaculation causing the pain then you most likely have a blockage in your spermatic cord between the epididymis in the spermatic duct in the prostate.  This can be caused by a mild hernia, congenital defect in the spermatic duct, scarring from STDs or other infections, or even being kincked.  As far as being treated for E. coli infection almost all urinary tract infections are E. coli and it can migrate into the testicle.  Also E. coli can be introduced into the urethra through anal intercourse.  This could be something as simple as an allergy to spermicides are lubricants that you're currently using.

well i kind ahad same problem apart my testicals were twisting causing the blodo not being able to trave and making it swell up causing pain, i had choice to take operation to fix my testicals to my scrtum, but i did not take this as of being embarrsed beign 13 at the time, now 15 and stil feeling pain everynow and again i whish i had taken the choice and i now want the operation, the doctor said it may be someing called taution but do not think this is correct as no results form it. hope it helps if u get the choice take the operation unless there takign away ur testicals:S excuse my spellign and gramma

just a quicky its not taution its testical torsion ;) not sure if u have it but is a possiblity can lead to very bad things such as having them removed:S
