As you say, usually, yes. But not always.
Anyway, I think this is simply a matter of personal perception about aesthetics and not a real problem.
I would say the ones that have it can just leave it as is, unless their girls do not like it. There are women that like that region to be hairy, considering it is more masculine if it is like that. Others do not. But since this cannot be known in advance, you have to try and see what gives, before taking any action.
