Anyone try IUI

Has anyone here been through IUI? I had a HCG shot on Monday and then my first IUI on Tuesday. I am trying to just forget about it for the next couple of weeks. Can anyone share experiences?

hi there. i tried iui only once and failed. i was a little crampy the day of the iui but i think that was just from the procedure. they had me stay laying down for like 5 min after but even then wen i got up i had some stuff come out which worried me. i just was wondering if that is normal for stuff to come out like that. well i have decided to try ivf but i have to save up money 1st. hopefully your experience will be a success. i have herd stories from a few women that did it and it worked the 1st time but i also herd stories of women that had to repeat it a few times. sorry my story isnt to encouraging but its the only story i have. i wish you the best of luck and i hope it works for you!!  :)

Hi, I had mine done on Wednesday and its been crazy for me too! It is my first IUI and I can't wait to have symptoms and then BFP!

I just did my second IUI 3-4-08 I had my Ovidrel (hcg) shot on 3-2-08, 2 days afte IUI I felt excrutiating cramps , called RE next day and RN told me it was normal since I had 8 mature follicles. Next Friday (Good Friday) I am scheduled for lab work if I haven't started. Faith and Baby Dust to ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When did you feel cramps from your IUI?I felt crampy (horrible backache) the day of the IUI and slightly crampy the next day but fine now. They did not injectibles or follicle monitoring this time so it was all luck of the draw. I'm hoping that a 50 million sperm injection gives us a good shot. The RE said 10-20 is acceptable limits so I"m hoping with 50 million, there's a huge chance.

This is going to be a long 2 weeks.
