prohormones

Dear Sir or Madam,

I would be extremely grateful if you could answer my worries.

I am a 28 year-old male. Unfortunately being quite irresponsible 5 years ago I was using some pro-hormones while exercising in the gym.

I used andro and norandro prohormones + 1AD prohormone in small dosages for 2 cycles (4 weeks each with 4 week break. I bought them over internet and did not suffer any side effects).

Currently I am planning to father a child with my wife and I am terrified that having taken pro-hormones can result in some birth defects in my current or future children.

Is there an increased risk of that for my children or would those substances get rid of my body after a couple of years? Back then those substances were legal in the US however I know they have been banned recently.

I really appreciate your reply. Thanks a lot.

You would need to go to a doctor and be tested.  They do not transfer to the baby, if that's what you mean.  There's a chance they can cause reduction in sperm count, making it harder to conceive.  They can also cause infertility.  The are not "common" side effects, but are possible.  Your doctor can do a sperm analysis pretty easily and see if everything is okay.
