Medullablastoma. Need Help !!

by J_P_, May 22, 2007 12:00AM
A friends son was just diagnosed with Medullablastoma. He just had surgery the other day and has lost certain motor skills. I am trying to start up a fund for him at work, but in order to do that i need to present our union with some info. What i am looking for is some information about the future life of this boy. Is he going to need special schooling, therapy or equipment?
In a nut shell i need to tell the union why he needs the money and what for. I f any one has any info i would greatlly appreciate it.

My son was diagnosed with Medullablastoma in 1988.  He also had the surgery and lost his motor skills.  It did not take him long to regain them though.  But, the chemotherapy and radiation was a long tough battle.  I couldn't work, so help from others was a blessing.

Unfortunately, the cancer returned in 1992 and he passed away at the age of 12.  This is a horrible disease and I hope that medical knowledge has improved since this happened to us.

Good luck with your fund raising, and God Bless You!

Rose
