nicki - its great to hear about the boys.  in a few months they'll be able to sleep thru the whole nite anyway so the worst is probably over.  how cool is that!

audrey - i sent you an email with my pics too.  not sure if you received it or if it bounced.

LJ - i hope you're keeping great health.  btw did you send thru any pic of yourself or DS?

on my side, i'm feeling ok about the new clinic but am also starting to think of surrogacy if this try fails.  not that i have any scientific reason to believe it should work over IVF but i feel before i move to talking about adoption i'd liek to give everything a try.

am heading out to LA and vegas over easter for a weeks holiday.  am tired and in need of a nice relaxing break.

Hi girls...sorry for the lack of posts, but I got sick, then Sophia and now DH...ugh!!

Nicki,
How's Chase doing, poor lil guy. Is colic because of the formula? I hope it passes soon.  What new things are the boys doing now?  Sophia is 4 months and is a happy, healthy baby.  Always smiling and laughing and is very social and friendly with others.  She can hold her head up now and can almost turn completely over, but not quite. Spring break is coming up and I can't wait to be able to spend a lot of time with her!

Sweedy,
OMG!!  When will you be in LA?  My Spring Break is March 22 - 30.  We are going to San Franciso March 22 - 29 to spend Easter with family there.  I hope we can meet one another! Do you have family in LA?  Will you visit clinics when you are out here?  Lucky you girl...you are quite the jet setter...India, LA,!  So glad you will be getting some R&R before your next cycle!  Oh...and I didn't get your photo.  audreycamposatcharterdotnet...please resend!

LJ,
How are you girl?  Can't believe that Jeevan is almost here!  Are you enjoying maternity leave? So awesome you get so much time off!

Girls...please pray for me...I have my cystoscopy/biopsy tomorrow and since I will be put under general anesthesia, I am a bit nervous!  I have been feeling tons better since I changed my diet, but I still want to be sure that everything is o.k.  Will keep y'all posted on the results...

XOXO

Hi all,

Sorry for the lack of contact - I can't believe it has been so long.  I tried to get on a few times without success and it has taken me a while to catch up!

Sweedy - I am so sorry for your BFN - I really thought it would work.  It sounds like you have moved on and I think talking to another RE is a good idea.  I agree with the others that I would not quit your job - I would investigate a leave or take vacation.  Are you thinking of the surrogacy in India?  I am going to talk to the donor agency this week about what they offer as far as surrogacy.  I just needed a break without thinking about it.  The LA, Vegas sounds like a great trip!

Nicki - Thanks for the pics of the boys.  They are so cute and so big!  Sorry you are dealing with colic - that has to be awful - for you and for him.  You are so lucky you can go back to work part time and it sounds like it will work well with DH's schedule and help for the summer.  I'm glad that you are getting some sleep although I'm sure its not as much as you need.  How much do the boys weigh now?

Audrey - hey send me the updated pics of Sophia - I'm sure she has changed a lot.  Isn't that funny how people think she looks like you and DH - I have seen that before.  I think it is true that you get the baby you are supposed to have.  I am thinking about you today and hoping your procedures go well.  Anesthesia is always scary.  I am coming to CA in July to visit my brother and go to the Pageant of the Masters, which I love.  I can't wait.

LJ - boy you are moving right along.  May 1 will be here before you know it.  And I will join Nicki in drinking a large margharita!  It's good you are now off work and can nap with DS - I'm sure it is much better for your health and the baby's.  Also good they are going to start monitoring so you won't worry about your health or the baby's.  I do like the name Jeevan and what it means.

Nothing new for me - I am still trying to decide what I want to do, if anything.  I know I need to get moving in one direction or another but am having some trouble picking which one.  In the mean time, I am keeping occupied with my puppies, who are now almost 8 months old, and are trouble.  They have eaten my drywall, my window sills, my trim, and my furniture.  But I love them to death anyway!!  Take care everyone!

by Audreams, Mar 12, 2008 10:01PM
Sweedy,
Thanks so much for sending photos...you are incredibly beautiful and exotic!  We are going to Frisco from the 22- 29th.  Will you still be here after those dates?  I hope so because I am dying to meet you in person...I'm sooo excited!!

Deb,
So good to hear from ya girl!  Sounds like you have your hands full with your furbabies!  What are their names?  Please resend me your E-mail address...I lost all of mine when I switched providers.  I will send you current photos of Sophia.  Please send me photos of you and your family!

Well, my biopsy went well on Monday...still healing inside.  Looks like I do have interstitial cystitis or an inflammation of the bladder.  I will meet with doc in April to discuss treatment plan.  For now, I have to be on a special diet and i'm also taking anti inflammatory medication.  I'm just glad it's over!

XOXO

Hi guys,

Sorry it's been so long, I just haven't been up to being on the computer lately and DS has been extra clingy lately so when I am able it's extremely short. I can't believe I have been home for almost 4 weeks already and next week is spring break here...

Me and baby are doing well. I go see the OB tomorrow and will have a chat about all this extra monitoring - it's driving me crazy. I never went through this with DS (new doc) and I was doing much worse than this time. I am trying to take it easy but going to the hospital 3 or 4 times a week is crazy - DS hates going to a babysitter also. Baby is doing great though, 30.5 weeks now - 7 weeks to the big day and the last u/s at 29 weeks showed the baby was already 2lbs 14 oz. Right on schedule. I am not 100% about the name yet, I keep moving between Matthew or Jeevan.

Glad to see everyone is doing okay. I am so happy to hear that the biopsy went well.

I will chat soon.

Hugs

hey audrey - i'm in LA on 20th nite until 22 and then back on 25th for 2-3 days...  if we can meet on 21 or 22nd will be great.  email be (prob better than exchanging on the forum).  hey what i do need from you is the name and address of any clinic where i can get my FSH/LH levels checked on day 2.  coz it will happen while in LA and i dont want to cancel my hol plans just for this stupid test..  thanks

LJ - how exciting abt the baby.  I like matthew too.  here swhat i woudl do if i were you - when he is born take a look - if he looks tough and big call him matthew - if he looks like a thinker but gentle - call him jeevan.  if hes tough and big and thinking and gentle - call him - Aryan (which is my most fav name for a boy!!)

ok so for me - i am just lookign fwd to my holidays in LA and Vegas and then after i come back i can start the preps for IVF round 3.  at least time is flying by...  i am starting to fret again.  if third time doesnt work am going but will not bore u girls with my self pity...

by L J, Mar 17, 2008 09:25AM
Thanks Sweedy. My eldest is Aaron which is very close to Aryan(i plan to look up meaning), I had planned on naming him Matthew Aaron at the time...

Enjoy your trip and try to get as much relaxation in as possible. Come home happy and healthy, so you can be mentally ready for the next try. Both times I got pregnant with IVF was after a vacation. Less stress does help.

Hugs.

Hey girls,

Audrey and Sweedy- I'm going to be so jealous if you two meet!!!! I want to meet you guys :(  Well, I'll be there in spirit if you do meet up. LOL.

Audrey- glad to hear the procedure went well and I hope you have a speedy recovery.  Hope things go smoothly with the next steps too.  I'm sure the diet will help as it seemed to have helped you before.  I didn't post but I did say a prayer for you.

LJ- i love the name Matthew.  It's so cute for a little boy and so distinguished for an older one you know.  I like both but I really love Matthew so I'm routin for that name. :)

Deb- your right.  Even with the sleep I'm getting, it's still not enough.

As for me, things are going ok.  It's very tough in my house.  Chase's colic is brutal but today was a great day so all I can hope is for another one tomorrow.  Unfortunately he is just so unpredictable.  Brody is my saving grace.  That kid ROCKS.  Don't get me wrong... Chase is so great - when he's not crying.  Which, unortunately is not too often.  We're going to Florida in a week and 1/2 for 5 days.  The boys will be 3 1/2 months by then so I'm hoping I'm in the clear with all this colic ****.  TTLY

by Audreams, Mar 18, 2008 09:15PM
Nicki,
Thanks so much for the photos of the boys...they are gorgeous!  I can totally tell the difference between the two now...Brody looks exactly like you and Chase like DH.  And they both got beautiful baby blues!!  Love the Easter bunny photo.  We are taking Sophia's Easter bunny photo on Thursday...fun,fun,fun!

Sweedy,
I can meet you on the 21st!!  As far as a clinic, what part of L.A will you be in?  My clinic is in Pasadena, but I want to make it as convenient as possible for ya. Let me know ASAP and I will find one for ya.  Can't wait to meet ya sweetie!!

LJ,
I like both names but leaning more towards Jeevan because it is so uncommon and unique.

A blessed and happy Easter to all!!

XOXO

nicki - your boys are th cutest!!  hope everything goes well for you and the colic sh*t goes away soon...

i'm busy packing tonite to fly to LA tomorrow...

by NickiMike926, Mar 19, 2008 08:21PM
Audrey and Sweedy - you better take pics of you two and send them to me.  I'm so jealous.  I'll be thinking of you guys.  Have a safe and fun trip Sweedy.

by OldDebbi, Mar 25, 2008 04:24PM
Hey all,

Hope the meeting on the 21st was great - I agree with Nicki - I want pics!

Nicki - next weekend is the scuba show we usually go to in Seacaucus but DH has to go to a seminar so it is the first one we are missing in probably 10 years.  Next time we get out that way we will have to get together!  Hope Chase is doing better and have a great time in FL!

Audrey - Glad the procedure went well.  My email is dkruszew at ptd dot net.  Send the Easter bunny pics.  I will have to send out some of my lovely children - the furry K.C. and Lily!  Hope you enjoyed San Fran - one of my favorite places.

LJ - I like both Jeevan and Matthew.  I can't believe you only have like a month now!

Sweedy - hope the trip is great and you are well rested and in a good mental place when you get back home.  I have never been to Vegas so am jealous!

I am thinking there has been no posting because everyone is away.  Hope all is well!!

by L J, Mar 28, 2008 02:20AM
Tomorrow is last day of spring break...yeah! My DD had two weeks off, not fun trying to keep her entertained when you can't do much. My eldest DS turned 16 last week. Time really does fly by.

Five weeks to go, I hope I get to enjoy the last month.

Sweedy & Audrey definately sends pics. I hope everyone received the picture I sent out from Christmas.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Hugs

hi all,

i sent audrey an email to apologise coz at the end of all the planning i wasnt able to call and meet her on 21st as i was running around trying to find a clinic in LA for my hormone tests.  I must say yours is a tough country.  even though its ZERO harm to do a blood test, they wouldnt do it without a doctors order and that too they wouldnt accept my docs order it would have to be from a US doc.  so it was a nightmare but anyway in the end i got it done and the results were good so alls well now.

the hols were great and vegas was FANTASTIC.

went to the doc today for 1st scan and things are looking good for starting down reg this month on day 21

Lj - i thought your son was 6.  you say 16 above??

by Amy730, Apr 04, 2008 04:05PM
HI Girls! SOunds like everyone has been very busy.

Sierra is now 6 months old and got her first tooth while we were in Hawaii last week. She is sitting on her own and talking up a storm..so cute. We also started on the solids food and that has been fun too.

My husband is after me to get started in #2. He says "make an appointment" ...how romantic?!?! How soon do you think we can try again.  I've had 2 normal periods. I'd like to give it a try on our own first...for the fun of it :P ,...been pregnant a long time...and you never know. We had no cause for our infertility, maybe it would work on its own. I'd like to give it a try for 6 months and see...BUt my DH says he's getting old!!! yeah--34, he acts like we are over the hill already.

But we have 6 frozen embryos that we were told were good quality...how many do they thaw at a time? COUld we get two tries from our 6, or is that most likely just one try?

by NickiMike926, Apr 04, 2008 08:25PM
Deb- definitely would love to meet ya one day.  Chase was great btw in Florida.  Thanks for your wishes.  I would love to see the pups so send along a pic.  You never sent a pic of yourself either!! You got to share the love and show us what you look like!

LJ- May is so close my goodness I'm getting so nervous for you.  But so excited too.  How are you feeling?

Sweedy- that stinks you couldn't meet up with Audrey.  Oh well.

Audrey- how are ya?  How's Sophia?

Amy- you'd definitely get a least 2 tries with 6 left over.  I'm so happy to hear you'll be trying again!  That's great.  Sierra sounds like she is keeping you quite entertained.  Must be a great time for you right now.  Can't wait for my guys to be around 6-9 months.  It will be so much more fun I think.  Not that it's bad now it's just constant crankyness, can't hold their heads up etc.

Florida was great.  The boys were awesome.  Only one 1/2 day of a meltdown.  They are officially sleeping through the night - BOTH of them. (Brody has been for a while now) and Chase is out of his infant seat for sleeping and in his crib.  AHHHHH life is good.  LOL.  TTYAS

by sweedy, Apr 06, 2008 04:28AM
Nicki - great to hear about your hol in florida.  dont worry before you know if your sons will be older and then you might wish for them to be tiny tots again so they need all your attention!!!

amy - how exciting that you're starting to think about number 2.  i am have a feeling you should try bth naturally and with Frozen embryos
