Just cut and paste it into your browser. If you can discuss your diagnosis with a doctor at JH, you may want to do that. MPSC was first identified by pathologists at JH. There is lots of information on that site, and lots of ladies who can help you out with your questions.
Good luck.
I have been diagnosd with adenoma carcinoma of the cervix.I have ben told they cannot find out if it is in my ovaries until they open me up. Is that true? wILL THE BLOOD test rveal anything? Is adenocarcinoma 40% sure of showing up in another part of my body?
What is the growth rate of this cancer? I was diagnosed in March and getting second pap,a leep, cone biopsy, has taken to this date and why all the tests if it isn't going to show if the cancer has metastasized.Do Good chance I have more than 5 years with this type of cancer? Why is it so hard to get answers?
I am waiting a month from today for my cone to heal so I can have surgery.Hysterectomy.
What is a oophorectomy and should I want one? It looks barbaric but if I can increase my chances.
By the way, what type of Doctor are you currently seeing? I suggest you be seen by a Gynecologic-Oncologist. This is a surgeon who specializes in women's cancers. If I were you I would seek a second opinion ASAP. The sooner you are diagnosed the better your chances for recovery. Also, it doesn't sound like communication is very good between you and your present doctor.
A good site for information would be the NOCC web site. It stands for National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. It is based in Boca Raton, FL. and they have excellent people that would be more than happy to speak with you and refer you to the proper place for medical treatment/answers. Their web site is www.ovarian.org Another good site is Ovarian Cancer National Alliance: www.ovariancancer.org.
God bless you on your journey
