On Oct 21, I had u/s and posted my question about solid matter in cystic left ovary. The impression on the u/s says:Bilateral ovarian cysts. Interval development on right measuring 6.1x7.6x6.7 with debris and the left measuring 4.3x5.4x4.5 with solid and irregular area with papillary projections. Although internal component could represent retracted clot, it is so irregular that an ovarian neoplasm can not be ruled out.
I am scheduled to see a gyn/onc Nov 14. That was after pushing my regular gyn to do something now. He opted to wait and see what 2 cycles of bcps would do. What does anyone make of this information?

I need to warn you first that I might be totally wrong about this answer, but if I recall correctly then the 'retracted clot' possibility is often an indication of an endometrioma or an unresolved hemorrhagic cyst. Virtually all reports - except perhaps those for a dermoid where often a tooth or hair can clearly be imaged - note the possibility of a "neoplasm." Neoplasm does NOT mean cancer; it simply indicates a new growth of tissue and could be benign or malignant.
