Pain in left thigh, hip, groin and sciatic nerve with left pelvic pain as well

by cac316, Jan 04, 2007 12:00AM
Does anyone know if this is or could be a syptom of ovarian cancer?  I have a history of Hodgkin's Lymphoma with precancerous cells in my cervix with a colposcopy for that as well.  Thanks.

I had all of the above symptoms and ended up having a large cyst in my left ovary and six fibroids.  I had my left ovary and tube removed on 11/21.  The doctor said the cyst was benign.

i have had pain in my left groin area for about 18 years,  i noticed it after having my 2nd child.   i remember it felt like a balloon had just burst with warm liquid running down my left leg.  it hurts very much to sit long periods, certain materials i wear irritate the left side only.  cotton does not seem to bother.  i have had all kinds of test, total hysterectomy.  i have herniated/bulging discs.  i have been told dr.s think it is the sciatica nerve but nothing they can do for that.  i am having epidural injections in my back now to help relieve the pain.  it pain feels like a vessel is twisted and if it was untwisted the pain would go away and also like a cockle spur is there irritating the skin.   can you assist me in what you thin it is  one test showed annular tear.  thanks for your advice  anita

The only symptoms I have had have been exactly what you describe. For a year and a half I suffered with horrible hip and sacro illiac pain.
It caused pain in my groin and was just like sciatica.

I had a full physical with bloodwork etc., All came back excellent.
After having multiple xrays that clearly show my hip and all joints are healthy, then being treated for arthritis, even though the xrays show I don't have arthritis.... I finally noticed a pattern.

The pain was worst during ovulation!  As a result, my doctor sent me for an ultrasound.
A mass was discovered on my Right ovary - same side as my pain.

I am now 'in the system' as he describes it.

Ask for a pelvic ultrasound. I wish I had done so months ago.
