by boosty, May 15, 2007 12:00AM
hi. as some of you may remember, i had an ovarian cyst removed march 6,2007 . two months ago. i had a pelvic ultrasound last week because i was having some abdominal pain again. but not the same kind. i have to wait til i see my doctor so she can tell me how the ultrasound went. but the technitian kind of gave signs to me that i have cysts. i have pcos. so i am sure i have alot of little cysts. but could one be big already since my surgery?  i asked her if i have a cyst and she said "on your left ovary?" and she didnt answer. i mean if i have pcos, both ovaries have cysts right? i dont know. i just dont want to go through this ovarian cyst stuff liket he surgery again. i dont have the time for all this. what are the chances i can get it so fast. what i mean is for someone who has pcos, how often does a cyst grow big? thank you guys

Woman get cysts all the time but they are never even detected. I would say that if any of us would be given random U/S for no reason we would probably have a cyst at some time but it resolves without us ever knowing it was there in the first place. There have been a few times over the last year that I have thought hmmmmmmm I am posititve there is a cyst but then a few weeks later I am fine again. We are very in tune with our bodies once this has happened right? The chances of it needing to be operated on after 2 months are very slim. With PCOS you will always be prone to cysts but they will just resolve. I think sometimes we can be a little to vigilant to be honest lol. To many ultrasounds is as bad as not having one. Remember woman get cysts all the time without ever knowing they are there. You just happened to have an ultrasound!
