What causes eyelid twitches and weird facial feelings? Help!!!

by Jenny Wren, Jun 13, 2006 12:00AM
Can anyone shed some light on this.  My left bottom eyelid has been twitching for over a week, I also have been getting for 6 years these weird feelings on my left cheek area, kinda feels like a spider web.  I did have a brain MRI back in April 2006, everything was normal except extensive sinus thickening in the sphenoid sinus and lesser amounts in frontal area.  I am at end wit, so scared, has anyone ever had this?  What did you find out?  My shoulder and neck hurts on the left side also, and also migraines (menstrual) in back of left side of head, Does a brain MRI show the brainstem?  Please, if you have any thoughts or suggestions, let me know.  Thank you kindly.

Tiredness and stress are the most common causes.  A very common symptom of these.

If you have been touching your face because of the twitching or the feelings then you might be getting a sort of residual feeling from touching it too much.  Also, if you focus on any part of your body it will start to feel weird.  That's the whole point of some meditations.

Good luck.

I have read on other websites about perimenopausal symptoms and the feeling of something "crawling" on you is a pretty common symptom.  I too get the sensation.  In fact, I've talked to you before and we've got alot of similar things going on!!!  Email me and I've give you the info I've found!!!

Caffeine is a leading cause of eyelid twitches.
