Lightheaded spells, bad indigestion, confused, then feel lousy for a day

Hi,

I've had these symptom for 5 months now. It comes on usually with the start of belching, burping. Then I feel the left side of my chest hurting. At that point I start to get very lightheaded and confused. I've ended up driving to the hospital a couple of times thinking it was a heart attack but they stated no. Had a stress test, cat scan, MRI, lower and upper GI and all came back fine. All my blood work is fine. I am aneimic though due to having hemochromotosis. They took to much blood out of me at one point!  Doctor stating this wouldn't cause all of these symptoms though. Sometimes head feels like its in a vice of just a pressure feeling.

Other symptoms that I first had along with this was gas/belching for hours, shaking, feeling that my face/nose area was numb along with the lightheaded feeling. Those went away but the lightheaded feeling keeps coming back. It's upset me so bad I've  had to have people drive me home from work. The symptoms in the begin were different, kept shifting around but now I just have the belching/gas and lightheaded feeling. I also seem to have the pain in the left side of my ribs/chest.

I also was bitten by two ticks. Had Lyme test done on two different occasions and came back negative.

I'm 52, pretty good health up until now!

Thanks

I too have suffered those same symptoms, plus many others.I have had a multitude of stress tests and echos and ekgs, all negative for heart problems, because the discomfort in the left side of my chest are at times unbearable.I dont know if this will help you,but I now am starting to believe its all stress related and it has been suggested to me that its severe panic attacks.I know it sounds crazy but lotsa people suffer these symptoms for years. The only advice I have is to keep a diary of the symptoms, when they come on what they are and what is going on around you when they hit.I have dealt with this for 4 years,it has gotten better, now that I kinda understand the symptoms better.God bless and good luck.

You have described everything I feel right now, I'm typing this and looking at my fingers as they seem to be paler than usual, kind of a light yellow, this usually happens when I feel like you do. I hope that someone can tell me what's really wrong with me, I'm 20 years old, I don't fancy living with this for years, my life is a mess because of this.

Unless your labwork was done by one of a few labs in the US that really knows how to test for Lyme, you'd better be tested again.  There's a very real chance you have it and don't know it.  Doctors who aren't really familiar with it aren't good diagnosticians.  I suggest finding someone who specializes in it, even if you have to go out of state.
