sensation of blood boiling at night

by benji1, Jun 29, 2007 12:00AM
I know this sounds strange, but I wake up with the feeling like my blood is boiling at night. Is this a symptom of High Blood pressure? What type Dr. should I see for this symptom? I am over 68 years of age, active and not over weight. My general MD has no idea what is causing this he said.

Please advise...Thank you

Do you normally have high blood pressure?  Have you thought about buying a home blood pressure monitoring kit from the store which would enable you to measure you blood pressure during these "episodes"?

I get that same feeling, Ive had it on my legs, back of my shoulder on my arms, and only occurs at night. It like a boiling, bubbly feeling, and I can litteraly see it bubbling if its on my legs or arms. Ever find out what its called? My Dr. too is clueless about it. Im currently taking medicine to lower my high blood pressure and its stable while taking my medicine. Im currently jogging now 3 to 4 times a day, should be everyday but my body isnt used to it yet. Ive check my bp when I have these episodes and its still within my normal range, meaning it doesnt go high after my "episodes". Ive been keeping my blood pressure at about 130/80.
