I understand where everyone's coming from in this forum, but when I was in my deepest fears, I didn't want someone to make me better...I wanted to know the truth about my situation. So all I'm saying is, we need some sort of a balance.
I'm playing devil's advocate here because what if helpme21 and MACKIA were in fact infected? Think about how horrible they must feel to have absolutely no support on this forum.
I think helpme21 is bogus, too, and there's a very good reason I think so. It's pretty obvious once you spot it, and it's a major inconsistency -- not just in her story, but in one of her followup posts.
The answer is an unqualified yes! Up until the 6 week period, the antibodies will not have had a chance to fully develop to the level where they can be tested. At 6 weeks you are on the cusp.
HOWEVER, that being said, if you tested negative, at 6 weeks the chance are overwhelming good that you are negative.
If you test negative at 12 weeks, it is like 96%. As you approach and exceed the 6 mo period, it approaches 100%.
So....if you are at 6 weeks, go get tested in another 6 weeks. If you test negative at 12 weeks, you can officially breathe that sigh of relief. However go get tested at 6 mo just to be sure.
In the meantime, play safe - use a condom. If you ARE positive but have not had antibodies develop yet, you can still pass it along.
3 months is conclusive there BUD!
Stop giving out false info.
So stay out of it.
