Sore throat from Thailand

xox: 2 weeks ago I had sex with a local whislt on holiday in Thailand, protected sex and unprotected mutal oral sex. The next morning I awoke with inflamed tonsils and a small rash on the roof of my mouth (consisting of for small red dots)
This rash went away with 3 or 4 days, whilst the tonsils were still inflamed. About a week later I developed a cold (blocked up nose, sneazing and dry lips/face), about 5 days after that the cold symptoms have started to go, although 2 weeks later my throat/tonsils are still red and swollen. Th ecold co-insided with long transit flights from tropics to cold winter, so perhaps could put that down to that, but seeing as I still have inflammed throat and starting to get a little concerend. Do you think that I could have caught syphillis or even worse? HIV
