2nd laparscopy,chronic pain,endo?

by Ms_Makita, Feb 26, 2007 12:00AM
Hi,thank you for your time.I'm 29 yrs old(no kids) and for almost a year been experiencing daily rectal, pelvic, abdominal pain, and 100lb weight loss.I have had colonoscopy in may'06 with biopsy taken,normal.Aug'06 laparscopy to check for endo, none found.Oct'06 appendix out, thought pain would end..still continue's.Rectal/Colon dr during rectal exam felt I had partial rectal prolapse, felt bulge against rectum saying it could be endometriosis,(also have tipped uterus)New gnyo wants to do another second laparscopy thinking it is endometriosis "hidden" behind organs? is this possible? Had ca125 test to rule out ovc (level was 4)The pain is worse few days before period and after, maybe 1-2 weeks out of month I feel good.
Also have 1.9 complex cyst in right ovary, right ovary measure's 4.4cm,3.3cm,3.1 cm,low level internal echos and possibly a thin internal septation, complicated by hemorrhage or infection. Is it possible that the complex cyst is endometriosis in ovary? wouldnt surgeon during first laparscopy look behind organs? any input appreciated, thank you

Insist onCT or MRI, seems these docs like to make money off surgery that the info can be gotten in a quick noninvasive way, they just don't make anything. actially it makes me want to say go to somebody else because he doesn't seem interested n doing the most efficient tests to find out whats going on & isn" that his job, to do what's best for you, not him?
