Significance of Grade 2 Anterior Placenta

by lacyboot, May 15, 2007 12:00AM
Yesterday at my 29 week check-up, I was told by the midwife that my placenta was graded 2 at my Level-2 ultrasound a couple of weeks ago.  The midwife expressed some surprise over the placental grade and said she would check with the doctor when he returned from being ill.  She said it was too early to have that grade, but didn't give me much more information.

Does anyone have any experience with this?  I've found very little information online about the significance of a grade 2 placenta at my gestation.
