trisomies

I am just wondering if there are any markers for chromosomal abnormalities that a pregnant woman would notice during her 9 months without doing all the tests(for instance small or large for age fetus, sac and baby not measuring the same, heartbeat, more instances of bleeding or cramping - are any of these or other things indicators of something wrong?)

i'm actually going through the same situation.  however, i had the testing done and was positive for downs ( only a ratio) but, they told me that the baby is measuring perfect on the u/s so that's a good thing for us.  so i'm assuming that a small baby may or may not have something to do with it.  i have detailed testing tomorrow.  good luck!!

Thanks for the info.  I was just curious that's all.  Actually my baby and sac are measuring correctly and I haven't had any bleeding or cramping but I was just wondering what to look out for as the pregnancy progresses.  Or is there are any markers where a mom would "know" something is wrong without all the invasive testing.  I feel fine about my pregnancy - I am just paranoid that's all!

Take a deep breath & enjoy these final days of your pregnancy.  I had a baby with down syndrome. We didn't know we were.  I didn't do any of the additional testing although my Doc was ultrasound happy and did one every month. (He had it in his office.) We never saw anything wrong.  But hey here's thing.  We wouldn't change a thing he's our third child and the biggest blessing in all our lives. :)  Best Wishes for you and your family.
