stroke rehabilitation

by krisham51, Jul 19, 2007 08:58AM
I am 56 year old male and I suffered a stroke ( brain infarct) 21 months ago affecting the left side of the body.I have recovered sufficiently to be able to move around on my own.
However there is most of the time moderate to severe pain and heaviness on the left side which makes it very difficult and affects speech.
My neulogical surgeon has pronounced me neurologically fit . It is like saying that the operation is successful but the patient is dead.
I live in pune,india .
can somebody please suggest what kind of treatment I should go for as I feel i have come very close to normalcy.
thanks
