Could c-section cause peripheral neuropathy?

by misha411, Jun 27, 2007 12:00AM
Numerous problems/concerns. I am a 27 year old female who just had a baby by c-section. I am 12 weeks post pardom and I have had nothing but problems since surgery. One week after I was released from the hospital I was hospitalized again for severe hypertension, toxemia, and severe edema from the section scar down. Not having any problems with blood pressure or pain prior to surgery. Now I am taking the maximum dose of labetalol and a diuretic to keep it under control. I have had leg cramps in my calves and thighs, foot cramping/burning, tingling and numbness in my toes since surgery. I have already seen a urologist for possible kidney problems. During surgery they noticed my heart was skipping beats and now I have to see a cardiologist for that! Now they want me to see a neurologist, but I don't have an appointment for a couple of weeks. I think I have diagnosed myself having peripheral neuropathy from surgery, and if not what could it be ? Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.
