An eye that continuously waters needs an examination by an eye physician (Ophthalmologist). Probably the most common cause of one-sided tearing of an eye is a blocked tear duct. That could lead to a serious tear sac infection (dacryocystitis) if left untreated. There are some other causes that should be excluded.
