borborygmi

by Draco, May 29, 2002 12:00AM
Stomach growling or so called borborygmi, has been a common problem that many people have been suffering from and i am one of them.

i have been suffering from borborygmi now for almost 3 yrs, with seeing many GI specialist none of them could find the solution to this problem so i decided to figure a cure for this problem on my own. i am going to give some advices that may minimize the effect of borborygmi.

i found out that these types of food increased the growling effect which are:

1-Chocolate

2- some kind of vegetables like cuecumber, tomatoes, cabbage.

3- milk it increases the amount of gases in body.

4- eating food that contain high percentage of vegetable oil or any kind of oil.

if you are like who suffers from borborygmi all day long, i tried to minimize it by trying to  blech whenever i feel that i have some gas movment in my body that causes borborygmi trying to force the gases out with time it will become a habit to blech and throw gases out stopping the loud noises from gurggling in your stomach.

try to drink Mint tea alot as it clears ur body from gases.

main causeof borborygmi is anxiety, which is hard to control i know, thats why i try to not think about borborygmi.

i have failed in university cause of borborygmi , i was afraid to attend calsses, afraid of embarrasment.

anyways hope that you doctors could find a way to calm down our borborygmi  problem. and good luck to everyone.

thank you
