Anyone here experience diarreha after hearburn attack?

by sagie, Jun 11, 2002 12:00AM
Has anyone had the wonderful experience of having yellow diarreha after a terrible heartburn attack?  I've been getting this now since I had my gallbladder removed in March.  Been to three doctors here in the little town I live and they don't seem too concerned about it and have an appointment next week with a GI doc in the big city.  But in the meantime, can anyone shed any light on this?  I'll have a really bad attack of heartburn (I'm taking Previcid) and I know that the next day will be nonstop yellow, watery diarreha.  After that, I'll be fine for a few days, and then it hits again.  I've been diagnosed with gastritis and really try to watch what I eat, but sometimes it doesn't matter.  Thanks much for your help.

ARE YOU TAKING ANY ANTI-ACIDS LIKE MAALOX.  USUALLY THE SIDE EFFECT OF MAALOX OR ANY OTHER IS DIAHREA.  ALSO, ONE SIDE EFFECT OF PREVACID IS DIAHREA.  PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR, MAY HE'LL PRESCRIBE SOMETHING THAT WON'T CAUSE YOU ANY STOMACH PROBLEMS.
