Soft small pieces of table food. Make sure your baby is still getting PLENTY of formula/breast milk. But as long as the food is not spicy and is cut up in very small pieces she or he can eat it. And you can still buy baby food from the grocery store.

There is no need for a special way to cook for 8 months or older child. You give infant the food eaten in the household but mashed or pureed and continue to breastfeed. Make sure at least the baby eat 3-4 hourly 5 times a day.  avoid giving infant sweets to prevent dental caries.
