Acute Gastritis-non bleeding /Pylori - Pain

by Lady71, Sep 19, 2005 12:00AM
On August 4 2005 I was diagnosed with Acute Gastritis-non bleeding by my regular physician.   I had an upper GI.  It indicated a presence of gastroesophageal reflux with evidence of haital hernia. Also Questionable distortion of the mucosal fold of the gastric fundus with questionable mass effect.

However the Endoscopy I had in Philadelphia revealed  a medium hiatus hernia and no tumor but erythematous mucosa with no bleeding.  Biopsies were taken and I was told that I have bacteria and put on a prevpac.

I had a CAT SCAN indicated that the gallbladder, pancreas, spleen and bilateral adrenal glas appeared unremarkable. Liver was normal size. A small focal area of low attenuation adjacent to the fissure for the ligamentum teres in the inferior left lobe lateral segment, lilely secondary to anamalous venous perfusion and/or focal steatosis.  No focal hepatic lesions are seen.
