PVC's and sex

by wunabnorm, Jul 27, 2007 03:51PM
Ok, so we are all adults here. I would just like to not that just about the only thing that relieves me from pvc's is sex. I have heard for some people it makes them worse. But for me... it helps reduce them drastically. Just a note to pvc'ers who need another way of coping. Cause Lord knows we search for relief from these horrendous episodes. So... not being perverted...so don't take it the wrong way! lol

Cool. Maybe the increase in heart rate suppreses them.

That is great - you are lucky!  Unfortunately it makes them much worse for me.

Me too lol. Even before I had a problem with PVCs I usually got them during that activity.

Some people do notice a decrease in PVCs with increased heart rates, so that makes sense.  A wonderful distraction as well :)

My PVCs get much worse during sex.  It's as the adrenalin builds that the problems start.  I have found a way that helps, but won't post it on the site.  You may include your e-mail to me & I'll tell you my simple way that I've found helps tremenously.  After the adrenalin is released (during the high point), then I feel relaxed & no PVCs.

Wow; very intresting--I have found that when I'm relativley PVC free that sex can bring them on--it is definetley just froma SUDDEN rise in adrenaline or heart rate.  The same thing happens if I RUN up a flight of stairs...but if I WALK first, then run I can run three miles no sweat.

EMOTION plays a BIG part in these things, for sure as sometimes just getting angry can bring 'em on.

At least we are not alone or totally wacked...God knows our spouses and everyone else might think we are...lol!!

That is true.  If I've exercised before sex, or any activity, I have found that the adrenalin is already worked out to some degree & it does make it easier.  I have to build up slowly on my exercise, just like you.  That sounds strange to someone who doesn' have our "over sensitive" adrenalin/heart system.  But sooo true. Thanks for reminding every one. That's why I'm more fragile to anything when I first rise in the mornings, but a couple hours later, I'm more normal (for me).

With me, the PVCs with sex thing only happens when I'm going through a "bout."  I can go weeks without significant PVCs and then they will start up again and get bad for a week or so then go away.  When I'm not going thru a bout I can drink wine, eat sweets, exercise, anything I want with no problem.  But when I am going thru a bout, anything and everything can trigger them.  It's crappy but thank God that they don't happen constantly!
