Just checking in to see how you are doing.  Hope all is fine and you have peace of mind.  Just take it one day at a time and it will be fine.

Hey suzi,

Sorry, I know this is to Bip but I have some questions for you, if you don't mind.  When you were tested for your Thalassemia, do you remember the types of blood tests your doctor performed?  The following tests were done for me:

CBC with differential
Hemoglobin electrophoresis
Alpha Thalassemia gene
Ferritin

Do any of these sound familiar?  I'm just wondering if they are all routine for Thalassemia.

My doctor has part of the tests results in but not all.  They were supposed to call me this afternoon and let me know the results of the ones that came in but they haven't called yet.

Anyway, thanks.  Hope you have a good weekend and you too Bip!

Some of them sound familiar.  But like I said, he ran SO MANY tests I couldn't even tell you what they were.  It is just Thallasemia.  Hang in there.  I know how nerve wracking these things can be.  If it was anything serious, they would have called you immediately.  One time when I had blood drawn, the doctor called me 9 o'clock that evening to check on things.  And I was fine!!!
