tennis elbow

by charos mom, Jul 29, 2007 07:31AM
I am being treated for "tennis elbow" sustained after a fall 2 months ago.  I have been wearing a splint for 2 weeks. There is no improvement in the arm pain and have now developed pain in the thumb joint which adds to the increasing limitation in doing things with this arm.  Ice ,ibupropen only provide temporary relief.  I have constant burning in the forearm and pain when I try to do anything with my hand.
My doctor will try cortisone injections after a month of conservative treatment .
Should I ask for more aggressive treatment?

Thank you
