strange lump

Yesterday I discovered something strange on my penis.  It actually feels like a vein or hard tubular like object that is about 1/2 inch long and leads to a small hard pebble like object but seems to be more triangular.  It is located just under the skin on the side of the shaft.  There is no pain associated with this, no loss of function, or no unusual discharge.  I can actually see the object(s) if the skin is pulled tight.  I plan on calling the doctor tomorrow, but naturally am very scared!  Any insight that may put my mind at ease as I am sure I will not get into a doctors officer for several days at least!

I too have an identical case on the left side of the shaft directly below the glans. It is causing me great concern. Can you shed any light on this?

May I add that my wife and I have been loyal to each other for 14 years so there is no chance of STD's.  Also, I noticed this lump/vein the morning after I had last maturbated.  Is it possible I caused some sort of damage and/or could this be a thrombosed vein.

To: everyone
I have currently been to a urologist and he was able to identify the cause of this situation... It is a bacterial infection underneth the skin of the penis. He said it was a good choice to have it looked at when i did because it leads to Urinary tract infection and then you end up pissing blood so im personaly glad that i was treated when i was the               diagnosis is called   ....Balanitis.... its an imflamation of the penis treated it only takes a week to heal... So if your intrested in looking this up and using this information You all are welcome to.
