symptoms related to cerumen impaction

by newtsiegirl, Jul 30, 2007 02:49PM
I recently had a cerumen impaction of both ears which required in-office intervention for removal. Associated with that I was having a headache, tinnitus and vertigo. The doctor advised that the dizziness may or may not be related to the concomitant infection, or was simply BPV. I have since completed the prescribed antibiotic treatment, however continue to have a headache and now have an associated neck ache. I advised the doctor in follow up, and his reply was that I may or may not have a persistent inflammation causing this discomfort. I do not really feel comfortable with the may or may not answer. Is it possible then to have a persistent headache and associated neck ache secondary to residual inflammation from a cerumen impaction? Thank you.
