Is A-Fib the same as PSVT?

Are atrial fibrillation and supra ventricular tachycardia essential the same condition?  For someone in their 30's, is this condition caused by an underlying heart condition or could it be benign?  Thanks for your help!

Not really.  Afib is one type of supraventricular tachycardia but there are many other types as well.  What supraventricular tachycardia means is that the fast heart beat comes from above the ventricles.  AFib is one type.  Afib may be caused by a heart abnormality or may be what is called "lone afib" where no underlying heart disease can be found.
