Best fading creme?

by Ben, Apr 17, 2000 12:00AM
When trying to fade freckles/brown spots etc what is the best creme/method to use? We all know about Porcelana but I think there must be better.  TIA

Ben:

Porcelana is 2% hydroquinone, which is the best you can do over-the-counter.  Prescription-strength creams containing 3 or 4% of the same ingredient are available; sometimes these are supplemented with Retin-A.  All these methods are slow, partly effective, and undone by the sun.  Some chemical peels can also help, depending on the type of pigment and body part.

Best.
