laser liposuction or typical liposuction of my abdomen?

Cannot decide whether to see a dermatologist with 28 years experience to do a typical liposuction or should I see a dermatologist with 36 years of experience to do a laser liposuction? The erchonian laser has been used for at least one year on one hundred patients.Sounds great for healing and shrinkage of skin tissue BUT this guy here in the midwest  has personal health problems and Im wondering if I can trust him to do the best that  he can do when he has his own problems on his mind? Who would you send your daughter to for abdominal liposuction? Ive investigated and feel that I should not go with ultrasonic assisted liposuction or vibrational assisted(repackaged ultrasonic). I am  comfortable with dermatologists, the tumescent techniques and local ansthetic versus general anesthesia.  My biggest question is this  new laser and this doctors frame of mind when sick himself.I would appreciate your thoughts on this matter.  THANK YOU sincerely ruelens

I don't perform liposuction myself, so I can't comment with confidence on your decision.  Having said that, I would add that it's just a matter of common sense to avoid being operated on by someone whom you are concerned is ill or preoccupied.  Even if you're wrong about that, you won't feel comfortable during and after the procedure.  The tumescent technique with local anesthesia seems to be the safest.
