herpes? eczema? rash?

by worriedone4life, Nov 28, 2005 12:00AM
Friday morning i woke up and saw a red spot on the top of my penis shaft about the size of 1/2 a pencil eraser.  Prior i had not showered in 3 days due to strenuous working hours and not having time to return home in order to shower.  It did not itch or burn at all, and did not tingle.  Later on in the night, i noticed a spot in the center of it the size of a pinhead, almost like a pin was stuck in the center of it.  The spot was almost not noticed but i am very self concious.  I put some peroxide solution on it to clean the area and the spot fizzed as well as the rest of the spot the peroxide was put.  Again, no burning or itching, or tingling feeling.  The next night it looked to have somewhat of a scab on it.  It is very tiny, not easily noticable.  No longer red.  After reading of the symptoms of herpes, it could be.  Although, my symptoms are not typical for a herpes outbreak.  I have never had symptoms before.  I am waiting for my GP to get back to me on what it could be and to make an appointment.  What else could it be, is there other conditions that cause similar symptoms.  I have no typical symptoms other than the fact that its a lesion the size of a pin stick.  Thanks for your help.

Sorry, can't tell from a description.  It sounds like an irritation to me.  The peroxide may well have aggravated the irritation and should not be repeated.  I suggest you see a doctor ASAP (not because it's an emergency, but because the doctor will only be able to tell what it is if the spot is fresh.  If that can't be arranged, take a good photo and bring it along to your appointment.  Meantime, just gentle cleansing please.

Take care.

I would like to add that the small area of redness surrounding the pin sized lesion/scab, 1/2 the size of an eraser, had gone away within 2 days of applying cortizone cream to the area.

I've had this blister the lip of my vagina for about 2 years now. I'm afraid to go to the doctor because i'm afraid of the results. I NEVER had unprotected sex with my ex but we did have unprotected oral sex. The blister is sore when I bother it. I can feel it through my skin and it seems as though its a bunch of small balls under the blister. When I bother the blister the next day it gets puss I assume from irritation. It NEVER goes away so I don't think its herpes. It's only one blister. I used to shave a lot and the similar hardness would come but it usually went right away. Also, a blister never formed. When I squeeze it, it hurts really bad once I've bothered it. Before I bother it, its ok when I touch it until I do it for a while. Also, sometimes when puss comes, blood does also. Then i realize the inside comes out and I can feel the inside of the blister and I can see the little balls and they are read. I can pull them and its painful. It seems like a bunch of skin compacted together under my skin. I also realize no hair grows out of the blister but hair grows out of the part the blister isn't covering. I always think that when the blister opens i can just pull the little balls out but they are attached to the inside of my thigh so of course that hurts. Please help me with any way to get rid of this or tell me what it could be. thanks
