Groin rash

by matt1983, Jul 04, 2006 12:00AM
Hi. I developed a rash in my groin area about two years ago. There are red spots in the crease of my groin and a few others around the area. I have only ever had sex with my GF of four years and never had any interaction with anyone else since the spots appeared. They don't itch or burn and there is no pain at all. Basically it's just the red spots. I was wondering if you have any ideas what this may be. And if I should go have it checked or if it's just something stupid I shouldn't worry about. They don't hurt like I said but they look bad. So if there is a way to get rid of them that would be great. Thanks a lot.

I'm only guessing, but they may be striae ("stretch marks.")  They certainly don;t sound like anything contagious.  To get a proper diagnosis, though, you'll need to show them to a doctor in person.

Best.
