Small red dot on tip of Penis and right side head slightly inflammed

Hi, about 4-5 months starting in Nov. 2004, I went to see a  dermatologist and he prescribed Cimetidine for warts I had on my hand.  (this did not work and I used apple cider vinger to get rid of my warts on my hand)  Three days later a small red dot appeared on the tip of my penis on the right side next to the urethra opening.  Besides the red dot, my penis became inflammed on the right side a bit.  There was no discomfort, pain,  or anything else, no burning when I urinate absolutely nothing, my once perfect looking penis now is a bit deformed, another thing that happens is a red rash/irritation appearing on the tip of my penis coming and going from time to time.  Also there is a line traveling up from the valley under my urethra opening of my penis and curving to the right side of the tip of my penis.  When I exam it closely it almost looks like a vein has burst in the tip of my penis this is not extremely noticable and it does not hurt but you can tell.

I went to see an STD doc in Boston in December and he told me to stop taking the Cimetidine and that it was most likely an allergic reaction and it would go away in 3 weeks.  I was having unprotected sex with my girlfriend of 2 years and had recently gone and had HIV, Gonorrhea, but not chylamdia or herpes tests, they came back negative.  I started taking doxycycline hydrochloride as I have been examing pictures from various websites and I was considering it to be Chlymidia tract., but could it be a yeast infection I picked up from my girlfriend although she shows no sign of infection.  Please help.

I try not to compete with the opinions of HCPs who actually have examined patients.  Without seeing the lesion, I can't say anything more than your STD provider did about likely causes.  But chlamydia doesn't cause skin lesions, so that's not it.  Yeast can cause a red/pink rash; if that's what you have, doxycycline won't help and might make it worse.  But yeast wouldn't be likely to stick around so long.

I suggest you return to the STD clinic for another evaluation, or consider seeing a dermatologist.
