No can find out what's wrong with me, my penis, or anything!!

In early February 2005, I had unprotected sex with a girl that I don't know.  The next morning I immediately began to examine my body in search of anything different.  A few days later I went to a clinic to be tested for gonorrhea and Chlamydia.  The next day I began to feel symptoms of irregular urination frequency (more than normal), slight burning, once I urinated I immediately felt the urge to go again, urine was dark, my testicals were tender and a little swollen, the tip of my penis looked irritated, and a clear discharge.  I immediately went to see a doctor and she treated me for gonorrhea and Chlamydia.  I was given 500 mg of Cipro, and Azythromiacin.  I took the medication as directed and the swelling, discharge, and painful frequent urination improved, but I did not look or feel 100%.  The next day I got my test results back and tested negative for everything!  So I was referred to another doctor so more tests could be done.  I was then tested for Trikamonis, results were negative, and I was treated anyway.  I was also treated 4 a basic urine infection, and a yeast infection.  My symptoms still persist.  I then tested negative 4 Chlamydia, syphilis, gonorrhea, and my blood was drawn and all results were negative.  Now the discharge is very mild and the opening of my penis looks irritated and swollen.  My urine is still very dark and the irritation at the opening and discharge are at it's worst after I ejaculate.  What is wrong with my sexual organs?

I doubt anything still is wrong; I'm more suspicious your anxiety is making you hypersensitive to symptoms that don't mean anything.  Your initial symptoms don't sound much like STD, and the treatments you have had will have cleared up any STD of importance.  In any case, I can't compete with health care providers who actually have examined patients.  But my advice is to relax, forget about it; you have nothing whatsoever that will have any important effect on your health or that of your future sex partner(s).

Thank you HHH.  My concern is that i have not been diagnosed with anything and I have been experiencing symptoms for allmost three months.  Could it be non-specific urethritus?  Yeast infection? Herpes? (i have had no lesions on my penis except for the iritation at the opening of the urethra, i had a canker sore on my lip that went away in less than 24 hours) Can i be tested for herpes? Is there a shot i can get to clear up a non-specific std?

There is no such thing as a "nonspecific STD", and you don't have anything sexually acquired, probably never did.  As implied above, I'm pretty sure your symptoms reflect no physical illness of any kind, certainly none of the infections you mention.  But to be certain, consider seeing another physician, perhaps a family medicine doctor or internist.  But if they confirm that nothing physically is wrong, you need to accept that diagnosis.  If that doesn't relieve your symptoms and anxiety, you may need to see a mental health professional.  I suggest it out of compassion, not critcism.

Hey Mike, I've been pretty much experiencing the same symptoms as you over the past 4 1/2 months and have yet to receive a diagnosis of any kind.  I had an encounter with a paid escort (unprotected oral sex) and tested negative for everything right through to the 3 month mark.  My PCP won't test me for herpes since I've shown no physical symptoms.  The tip of my penis gets red and sensitive, yet I (nor my dermatologist and PCP) have yet to find any evidence of a STD.  The tip of my penis "tingles" about once a month for 2-3 days, but no lesions, warts, sores, etc ever accompany it.  My dermatologist suggested it could be nerve damage and wants me to continue to monitor it.  I honestly believe my anxiety has diminished greatly over this time, yet I still get the tingling and redness.  I have seriously considered therapy, but am currently trying to beat this myself.  Good luck.

Yes, I've had 4 unprotected sexual encounters with the same woman over this time period, and she has not complained of any symptoms or shown any symptoms that I can see for that matter.  That may be proof positive that there really isn't anything going on with me and that all of the Doctor's I've seen or talked to (including Dr. Hansfield) are right on the mark that I'm clean.  It may be that there is still something in the back of my mind that is causing these "symptoms", because we all now how powerful a force our brains are.  I wake up each morning trying to convince myself that I'm fine, when all I should really concentrate on is living each day to the fullest and enjoying my loved ones.  If I can't get a handle on this, then my next step will probably be therapy.

Have you had a prostate exam? Prostatitis has some weird, weird symptoms. I had sex with a lady and a few days later had irritation at the tip of my penis, hot, itchy scrotum, but after all kinds of negative STD tests, my doctor "guessed" I may have prostatitis, Ask your doc next time to do an exam, it's no fun, but it may answer these questions about your strange symptoms.
