[Oil with BM]

you may or may not remember me, nutcase?!? is what i posted under before.  9 week eia hiv was also negative so i feel pretty comfortable with that.  However, i have posted to the gi forum under this username and will be following up with my doc next week, in the meantime i wanted to know what my risk of hep b or c would be with a one night stand with a woman of unknown status, unsafe, no anal only vaginal.  Honestly i am not overly concerned with it, due to the fact that i remember the "oil" in bm before this situation.  The "night sweats" are not around anymore, or at least not noticeable, i don't think i have had a fever, if my memory serves correctly i know when i have a fever due to feeling like crud.  I have lost about 20 - 25 lbs, and i did go to mexico (cancun pre hurricane) in September.  I was a heavy drinker for the previous 2 1/2 - 3 years, about 5 vodka (strong) a day almost everyday, have since cut back to a few a week.  Anyway, getting to long winded, just wanted to know your opinion on the hep risk from the one night stand.

There was no measurable risk of hepatitis.

that nick/user name came about from my question in the gastro section.  I thought the doc might read that post as well, but i have obviously worn out my welcome.  the oil with bm is bowel movement, when i defecate their is a distinct "oil slick" on the water in the bowl and i have had one shocking pale movement, which is where the liver/hep came to my mind.  This will probably be removed by the good doc cause i am a nutcase.

Oil on a regular basis, and not just on one or two isolated occasions, would be characteristic of a malabsorption disorder. In that case, you should see a GI. (No relationship with any STD.) Good luck.

Doctor and to anyone else:



Why is there no measurable risk of hepatitis B? It is a fairly common STD (1 out of 20 people have had hepatitis B).  Is vaginal intercourse not a clear enough route for the virus to travel?

Kinda wondered the same thing, my guess is that the good dr. thinks I am nuts and is blowing me off.  I can't say that he is wrong about the nuts part, but "no measurable risk" is a strange answer considering the prevelance of hbv in the U.S., i have read plenty about hcv that concurs with his statement.
