I wake up some mornings and i have a clear discharge after urinating.  It is usually only if I have been aroused that night or if I masturbated the night before.  I haven't had intercourse in around 6 months and the only kind of sexual encounters I've had in the past 4 months is mutual masturbation and they have all been with the same girl.  She was tested because of an unfaithful partner and her tests came back negative. It is not a lot that comes out but its always after ejaculation or in the morning.  Also throughout the day my penis feels cold and I feel like my underwear is wet but when I go check its never wet.  Am I worried about something I shouldn't be or what?  I didn't start really checking myself out until I went to the doctor about burning while urinating and he gave me cipro but then he asked me if had any discharge and then thats when I've been noticing any little thing that comes out.  The burning still occurs but it is not when I'm urinating.  I have no pain in my testicals or anywhere else.  Its just the very tip of my penis that burns.  Also, what would a discharge look like and would I be able to feel it come out and would I be able to see it in my underwear?  Thanks for you help

A little clear discharge is normal in the hours after sexual arousal. I can't interpret "cold feelings" in the penis or a sense of moisture when none is there, but those symptoms don't suggest any STD. Those symptoms and the burning, but without other symptoms, suggest anxiety as much as anything else.

People with urethral discharge due to STD typically don't feel it dripping. (At least I don't think so.  I never asked any patients that question, but no patient ever mentioned it.)  Mostly they would notice it exactly the same way you notice your own clear (normal) discharge--fluid in the urethral opening, or stains in the underwear.  Abnormal discharge that indicates infection generally is cloudy or yellow-ish (pus-like) in color, and just about always would cause visible stains in the underwear.

Bottom line:  You don't describe anything that sounds like STD. But if in doubt, return to your provider for repeat evaluation, preferably when you haven't urinated for several hours.  Both a physical exam and lab testing would be able to tell whether you have anything going on.  But I don't think so.
