Gonorrhea?

by biggcg, Mar 09, 2007 12:00AM
Ok so I have been reading up on the symptoms of gonorrhea. I have 3 of the symptoms that come along with it. I have had unprotected sex as well. I have a penile discharge that is a clear/cloudy color, and I also have the need to urinate frequently during the day and at night. I also have a slight swelling of my urethra. I dont however have any kind of a burning sensation when I urniate, and the only time I see this discharge is whenever I have to urinate.I also dont have a sore throat, and my testicles are not swollen. In your opinion, what do you think it may be?

To All Forum Users:

There was a software glitch and for several days a number of questions were misrouted to a server that did not post them properly. In addition, it appears that the automated limit to number of questions each day did not work properly. The result is a serious backlog. My replies to many questions will be briefer than usual, and I need to be very strict in following the rules about questions that duplicate others, especially for obvious low risk situations. You may use the Contact Us link to raise any concerns. Please note that it is not the moderator's decision whether or not to refund a credit card charge.

Also, I probably will not be able to respond to any follow-up comments or questions.

To your question:

It sounds like you have urethritis.  The clear/cloudy description is more like nongonococcal urethritis (NGU), which can be due to chlamydia or other nonchlamydial causes.  Gonorrhea is less likely but possible.  You need to see a health care provider right away, and don't have sex with anyone until you are examined and have definite answers.  If you aren't certain of your own provider's expertise in STDs, visit your local health department STD clinic for expert, low cost care.
