Feeling so achy, dizzy and pain in the left side of head

by Jennatrish, Apr 17, 2005 12:00AM
Hello,

I am 43 years old and feel like I am 93. My boby aches so much all the time, I hurt all over. When I have my mentrual cyle it is so much worse. I have also been experiencing a pain in the left side of my head... I get dizzy and lightheaded not sure what to make of all this. The Doctors don't give me straight answer. My face has a very red mask all the time and I am always dry, hot and so so tired.

Any suggestion?

Thanks

Hello all,

I suffer from exactly the same!!! However I have come to realise that part of my problem is related to muscles in my neck! My skeleton is slightly wonkey and you wouldn't believe how tight the muscles are in my shoulders and neck. It gives be pain at the side of my face and behind my eyes... even gives me like bruised lumps at the back of my skull. They say I have suffered with vertigo for three years since an accute attack of labrynthitus... which has left my inner ear damages. But the occassional attacks I now have.. I'm sure they can't make you feel that bad all day every day!!!! Keep trying anything. I've heard Therapy with Ear candles can help meniers disease.

i am back to feeling dizzy all day every day at the mo so if anyone has any other ideas please let me know.

jennatrish...sounds like Lupus or maybe fibromyalgia or ME..but lots of other things have to be ruled out through tests. keep going to docs to get sorted.

To: everyone
To everyone who is experiencing these headaches with dizzyness, facial pain, blackouts, faintness, sluggishness, etc. Please see a neurologist or an oto-neurologist.. I suffered years with BAM, also known as Basilar artery migraines. I also have regular migraines. There are medications that can help you, I am taking Topamax which has wonders preventing most of the headaches I had.  Also dizzyness can sometimes be caused by ear rocks! These are little rocks or calcium deposits that get lodged in your inner ear! There are specific exercises that can help you and/or physical therapy for it.

Jenna - The muscle aches sound like fibro. Also if you have lupus fibro likes to attach itself to any auto immune disease. You might want to see a rheumatologist.
