am I pregnant, or is there another reason for really sore swollen breasts

by Annie23, Jun 08, 2005 12:00AM
Hi again, this time I wanted to ask if anyone could hazzard an educated guess about a more direct question.

Although I had a cyst rupture in my ovary last month, I still had an otherwise normal cycle.  No odd symptoms except for pain in my left ovary.  Now i know the cyst is gone.  But now I have really strong symptoms of pregnancy.  i have never been pregnant before, but now i have swollen tender breasts (this sensation increases by the day) headaches, insatiable thirst, slight cramps, especially in the evening; overwhelming need to sleep - especially today and today also, a nauseated feeling that doesn't exactly have me running to the bathroom, but does have me wanting to lay down.  The thing is, it is too early in my cycle to take a pregnancy test and I think I could only have conceived a week and a half ago - is it possible to be feeling symptoms so soon - is it possible I am pregnant?  or are these symptoms all due to ovulation as well.  I don't know exactly when I ovulate.  Any ideas would help - thanks - wondering

Some women have symptoms as soon as 3 days after they get pregnant.  I did. Vomiting, tender breasts, headache, thirsty, sleepy, it all hit me at once and never went away.

Yes, sore boobs, 2 weeks before you are supposed to start your period again, are a definite sign that you are most likely pregnant. Now you have to just wait, and confirm it. You sounded just like me, i didn't really feel overwhelmingly nauseated, however, when i woke up in the morning i felt really wierd, like kinda sick, but i am a trooper and i would just tell myself it was all in my head, when in reality i was actually right about myself being pregnant!
