by SJL, Aug 02, 2007 05:54PM
Has anyone here been on Rituxin or know of anyone on Rituxin? This is a decision I must make immediately and I am very leary. Also, I have lost the e-mail contact to Dr. Cecil. If anyone has this info, I would appreciate it.
Thank you so much,
SJL

Yes, I have heard of Retuxin. Are you using it for pain management? I know it is a treatment used for certain lymphomas, however they have successfully used it in treating cryo symptoms.Apparently it destroys B cells, which are the cells that the fat clings to on the joints when you have cryoglobu..I guess you don't need B cells (appendix theory here?) if the treatment works and it is successful it reduces pain to the point of eliminating it for about 6-9 months, at which time the treatment can be done again. however my understanding is that it is less effective each time you have the treatment.
I also have heard that the treatment consists of  I think four infusion sessions each one about 5 hours..they were throwing it around for my husband (giddyup) for his pain management. Good luck, Whoaisme
