Problem sitting

by johan_123, Jul 18, 2003 12:00AM
Hey everyone,

I'm 32 years old, I live in Belgium. I have beautifull wife and a beautifull daughter.

I'm suffering for about 3 years from a "sitting problem". In the morning, when I wake up, my testicles are moving around and around. Seems like the temperture-system is gone or something... Anyhow, they keep going up and down. After a period of sitting down, I start to have a "strange" feeling at the places where there's pressure on the back of my upper-legs. After a day of sitting at my desk at work, the back of my legs feel like blubber. When I come home, I go and sit on the cold floor... This helps a (little) bit.

I have been to several dokters/specialist: psysical dokter, neuro dokter, radiography, etc... It's difficult for me to translate this from Dutch to English, but I could say I have been to a lot of professors, dokters, etc. I had lots of examinations and, after three years of these examinations, the doctors can't make a solid diagnose.

In those three years I've been to an "alternative" doctor also. He claimed that these problems where due to problems at my lyphes. He "drained" (massaged) them three times, I had 20 treatments of "endormology" and that didn't help. I stopped after these treatments since I stopped trusting the doctor. However, nothing tells me he wasn't right.

Anyone can make suggestions? Thanks a lot in advance.

Greetings,

Johan

Dear Johan:  My expertise is in breast cancer and I feel ill-equipped to respond well to your concern.  However, it does occur to me that your problem could be vascular - having to do with blood circulation.  You might see if this avenue can provide better answers.

John,   I have problems sitting as well and have been to every type of doctor there is for the last 4.5 years.  Try searching "pudendal neuralgia" to see if the symptoms fit you.  The best known specialist is in France.

Hi,

I've visited some websites, e.g. http://pudendal.de, and the symptoms described are very familuar to the ones I have. Thank you very much. I think I'll try this path.

Regards,

Johan
